Gili Trawangan
The east-coast strip has the largest concentration of bars, late venues and social hostels. Party schedules rotate and change, so current local posters and accommodation staff are more reliable than an old online calendar. Start with sunset on the west coast, eat at the harbour night market and move east if you want a later night.
Gili Air
Air's evenings are dispersed and generally gentler: sunset drinks, acoustic sets, occasional fire shows and selected DJ nights. It is easy to have a sociable evening and still cycle home to a quiet northern stay. Ask about the precise distance from a venue or mosque before booking if sound sensitivity matters.
Gili Meno
Meno is for sunset, dinner and early sleep. A few resorts and beach restaurants may host acoustic music or special events, but visitors should not choose Meno expecting a party circuit.
Night safety
Paths can be dark and sandy. Carry a charged phone or small light, avoid cycling after heavy drinking, keep valuables secure and agree a meeting point with friends. Never enter the sea at night after drinking; currents and visibility create real risk.
